paint : just waft the mouse around the box (don't click and drag). key z toggles brush on and off. you're working with transparent, not solid, colour... so red + green = yellow, and white - cyan = red...
box : click 2 opposite corners. circle : first click centre, then radius lines : have no ends. 2 clicks give orientation. thick or thin curves : bezier type, & defined by 4 points, which can be just off the canvas. click along the path you want the curve to follow eraser : the checkbox marked 'e'. works for all the above functions clone : 1st click source point, 2nd click insertion point, then waft horizontally
magic wand : set the tolerance (higher = broader colour match), click a patch of colour, then switch to paint/shape/fill. once you've made a selection, you can invert it. the filters affect the whole image, regardless of any selection.
you can fade each process back towards the previous state.
text : enter your text, pick font size, click 'write' & then insertion point snapshot : stores a state long-term. revert to that state. undo is for last action only and can't be reversed. layer : work on 2 independent layers. merge down can't be undone. to delete the visible layer click 'new layer' & say 'no' to merge down processing : don't work too fast: computer may need time to catch up with your inspiration
copy : click opposite corners of desired area. copy all : no clicking needed paste : click centre of desired location to paste. only the current brush colour gets used. choose white to paste all colours
open : you can open some of my masterpieces. you can also save your own. a pop-up window is created. or email it for the consideration of the programmer...
